Internet links are still cut-off in Burma today. The link was severed after monks in Pakokku renewed their peaceful protest [on 1 November].

The authorities are expected to continue blocking access to the Internet since another protest by monks had just taken place in Mogok today, according to Internet users.

They also believe that the cut-off is to prevent news and photographs of events from being sent out of Burma.
