Burma has officially announced that natural gas fuel (CNG) for cars in Rangoon Division will be available at government gas stations without limitation.
Before the announcement, sale of CNG has been limited for two days without official notice, drivers in Rangoon told the BBC.
Cars were allowed to buy CNG fuel only once a day triggering panic among the public which apparently has forced the government to change its course on fuel policy.
Unexpected fuel price hike last year sparked street protests during which tens of thousands of monks and students called for democracy and freedom.
