Myanmar and South Korea will cooperate in occupational safety and health in Myanmar, state media reported Sunday.

The bilateral cooperation will be done through workshops, research programs and technical exchange under a memorandum of understanding signed between Myanmar’s Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security, and Korea Occupational, Safety and Health Agency (KOSHA).

KOSHA has been providing assistance to Myanmar since 2013 for submitting the proposal on promotion system of occupational health, giving legal advice for Occupational Health and Safety Law, giving courses for inspection officers of Myanmar conducted by experts of KOSHA and supporting devices for occupational measurement tasks.
