Myanmar will host the first-ever ASEAN Youth Forum (AYF) next month aimed at powering national youth congress which can represent all youths in the country, according to a press release of AYF Monday.
The three-day forum is scheduled to take place from March 3-5 in Malamyine, capital of Mon state.
Young people from ten ASEAN countries including about 350 Myanmar youths will participate in the forum.
The forum will help enhance youth cooperation in nation’s administration sector, implementing and establishing youth policy, the press release said.
The forum will mainly discuss their action plan, stakeholder analysis, risk analysis and fund raising plan.
AYF 2014 declaration is expected to be issued after the three- day forum, it said.
Meanwhile, a Myanmar People’s Forum was held here last December in preparation for hosting the ASEAN People’s Forum(APF) set for Mar 21-23 at Myanmar Convention Center in Yangon.
