Last year, the trade between Yunnan and Myanmar hit a new high — 4.17 billion USD, an 83.6% increase from the last year. In addition, the first Yunnan-Myanmar Cooperation Forum was held successfully in Kunming. This year, Yunnan will work closely with Myanmar to host the 2nd Forum. Yunnan is willing to make best use of its advantages and participate actively in the construction of the BCIM Economic Corridor, contributing to development of the regional economy. He hopes that Vice President U Nyan Tun will support and promote the Ruili-Muse border economic cooperation zone so as to build it into a main channel of bilateral cooperation. He welcomes Vice President U Nyan Tun attendance at the 2nd China-South Asia Expo and the 22nd Kunming Export-Import Fair in Kunming in June.
U Nyan Tun said the development of BCIM Economic Corridor benefits all countries. Myanmar and China are friendly neighbors pursuing comprehensive cooperation.
